The Preliminary English Test [PET] is an Intermediate level exam. It is ideal for students who need a basic qualification in English, and is recognised by employers and educational institutions all over the world.

The PET exam comprises 3 parts:

Paper 1 - Reading & Writing
Paper 2 - Listening
Paper 3 - Speaking

Students who pass the PET examination can generally communicate satisfactorily in most everyday situations with native and non-native English speakers.

ACE students who would like to take the 12-week PET course need to be at Pre-Intermediate or Intermediate Level [ACE General English levels 201-302], and will need to take the ACE PET qualifying test before being accepted on the course.

I decided to take the Cambridge PET course because I wanted a course with an exam at the end of it. It has been great studying at ACE Bondi Junction - so close to the beach and great shops. I have learnt a lot and have got a fantastic teacher [though she gives me a lot of homework every night!]
