Cambridge exam classes are highly-focussed and challenging programs. Each class has a maximum of 12 students. The students follow a coursebook which provides comprehensive study of al the skills required to pass the examinations. During the course, students will improve their speaking and listening, grammar, vocabulary and writing.
Examination practice is an integral part of the program, and helps ACE students gain excellent results in the final exams. Extensive self-access materials are also available for each examination, and teachers advise students individually on their personalised self-access program.

Among the specialist teaching staff are a number of Cambridge examiners, who teach on the programs and give individual feedback and advice to students throughout their program. Our aim at ACE is to help each student make maximum progress.

A 3-day study retreat, in a spectacular national park located close to ACE, is one of the highlights of the course. Students study intensively with their teacher in a beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere.

The retreat gives students a chance to make friends with the other students from their class in an Australian bush environment. While they are not studying, the students have many of recreational activities to enjoy: bushwalking, canoeing, swimming - even cooking!

One of the best things about the Cambridge study retreat was mealtimes. It was such good fun cooking for everyone! We went shopping as a class before we got to the hostel. Four members of the class cooked breakfast each day, another four cooked lunch and the last four cooked dinner.

I will never forget the time I spent with my classmates and teacher on the study retreat. It was great to study out in the real Australian bush, with kangaroos, possums and goannas everywhere. We worked very hard during the daytime, but in the evening we enjoyed ourself playing piano, singing, and having fun.
